Nantes to sign former Randers goalkeeper Patrik Carlgren

FC Nantes are set to sign Sweden international goalkeeper Patrik Carlgren (32), according to reports from L’Equipe and Ouest-France. The 32-year-old is a free agent following the expiry of his six-year spell with Danish outfit Randers FC. Nantes are planning a complete overhaul of their goalkeeping department with France international Alban Lafont expected to leave amid interest from AFC Ajax. Les Canaris have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Clermont Foot’s Mory Diaw.

Nantes are also on the market for a No. 2 goalkeeper on the back of Rémy Descamps’ exit as a free agent. The latter has signed for Olympique Lyonnais to act as Lucas Perri’s understudy. Carlgren has reportedly been identified to replace Descamps. The 1-time Sweden international is expected to sign a two-year deal with Nantes. Les Canaris previously trialed former PSG keeper Alexandre Letellier but the 33-year-old shot-stopper has not been retained by Antoine Kombouaré. Nantes will play Montpellier away this Saturday.
