Didier Digard has been appointed manager of Le Havre AC. The former OGC Nice interim manager replaces Luka Elsner, who departed to take charge of Stade de Reims last month.
Digard took charge of Nice for the second half of the 2022/23 Ligue 1 season. Having played for Le Gym during his playing career, Digard was promoted from his role in the club’s youth coaching set-up to compensate for the departure of Lucien Favre.
Last season, Digard spent his time earning his coaching badges, which he did not possess during his interim spell as manager of Nice. He earned his badges whilst working with Les Aiglons, whilst also spending time with Real Madrid and at Clairefontaine.
He has now replaced Elsner at the helm at Le Havre. Digard has signed a two-year contract with Les Ciel et Marines. The former Middlesborough came through the ranks at the Ligue 1 club as a player.
