Luka Elsner looks certain to be leaving his role as the Le Havre AC manager in the next few weeks with recent reports linking him to the Stade de Reims vacancy. The oldest club in France will not sit on their hands and wait as their head coach is whisked away, and according to Foot Mercato have begun preparing a shortlist for their next appointment.
Le Havre are considering a move for the former OGC Nice caretaker Didier Digard who will be out of contract next month from his coaching role in the French Riviera. His short but relatively successful spell in charge of Nice has raised his profile, while the fact that he trained at Le Havre as a player somewhat adds a unique element to his candidacy.
Le Club Doyen are also looking at Zoumana Camara who has been at Paris Saint-Germain in some capacity since 2007. First as a player and then as an assistant before eventually becoming coach of the U19s in 2021. Camara has been keen to cut his teeth as a manager.
The final known manager on the shortlist is Stéphane Dumont who was recently let go from his role at EA Guingamp. He has the benefit of being the one candidate who has no club attached with whom Le Havre would have to negotiate.
