Enzo Tchato (21) has extended his contract at former club Montpellier HSC, as revealed in a press release on Tuesday. Tchato, a Cameroon international, had already extended his contract last May but another extension has now been confirmed.
Tchato, who has six Cameroon caps to his name and who played at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has become a more regular fixture in Michel Der Zakarian’s side as the season has progressed. He made 17 appearances at right-back for Les Héraults as they once again confirmed their status as a Ligue 1 team for next season.
Tchato will be a part of that campaign. After last season’s renewal, Montpellier’s hierarchy have decided to extend the Cameroon international’s contract even further. However, MHSC did not confirm the duration of the new deal. Speaking in the communiqué, Tchato said he was “immensely proud” to have extended his deal, adding that it “shows the club’s confidence” in him.
