Nice-Matin understands that talks between Marcin Bulka (24) and OGC Nice regarding a contract extension have been re-ignited.
Last week, L’Équipe reported that talks to extend the Poland international’s current deal, which is set to expire at the end of next season, had met a dead-end. With little chance of talks re-starting, Bulka reportedly had his sights set on a departure from Le Gym at the end of the current campaign.
However, speaking after the draw against RC Lens at the weekend, in which he played a starring role, Bulka re-affirmed his commitment to Nice, whilst stating that talks were in fact ongoing. “You never know,” said the former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, who is in his second full season as Les Aiglons’ No.1.
Nice-Matin now report that there is once again confidence regarding an extension with Nice submitting a new offer, which are closer to the Polish goalkeeper’s expectations, over the weekend. A new meeting between Bulka and the club’s hierarchy is scheduled on 4th October.
