L’Équipe understands that Marcin Bulka (24) has rejected a contract extension offer from OGC Nice and is looking to leave the club at the end of the season.
Since joining Nice from Paris Saint-Germain, Bulka has grown in stature, and since displacing Kasper Schmeichel at the beginning of last season, he has asserted himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Ligue 1. With his current deal expiring in 2026, Le Gym have been looking to secure an extension, and they have been confident of doing so.
In a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, sporting director Florian Maurice said that discussions with the Polish goalkeeper were open, adding that a contract extension offer had been submitted. “I have hope that an agreement will be reached soon,” he added earlier this season.
However, that optimism has dissipated, L’Équipe understands. Having declined a first offer, talks have now been cut and there is no reason for them to restart. A departure in the summer, when Bulka will have just one year remaining on his deal, is now envisaged. However, Nice won’t let him leave on the cheap.
