Defeat to Arsenal and draw with Nice leaves Luis Enrique with unfortunate stat

After going undefeated in their first seven games across all competitions, Paris Saint-Germain have hit a minor lull. Last week, the club recorded their first defeat of the season when they lost 1-0 to Arsenal in the Champions League and on Sunday evening they dropped points in a 1-1 draw to OGC Nice

This patch represents poor timing for Luis Enrique as the Spanish manager will be unable to address the more recent issues for his team in training sessions, as the majority of his squad will be absent over the week with the international break beginning.

Luis Enrique records worst win percentage since Carlo Ancelotti

These last two games have also had an unfortunate impact on the manager’s win percentage with Les Parisiens which now stands at 64.5%. It is a statistic that would be impressive for most teams, but for PSG it is the club’s worst since 2013 under Carlo Ancelotti (63.6%).

The manager with the best win percentage is current Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery (76.3%) followed closely by Thomas Tuchel (75.5%) and Laurent Blanc (72.8%). Christophe Galtier (68%) and Mauricio Pochettino (66.6%) also have a better win percentage than Luis Enrique.

PSG will look to return to winning ways when they host RC Strasbourg Alsace on the 19th of October. Les Parisiens will then be in action in the Champions League when PSV visit, before travelling south to face rivals Olympique de Marseille in Le Classique.
