According to L’Équipe, Marcus Thuram (27) has survived an injury scare to maintain his place in the France squad ahead of the upcoming international break. The Inter forward had to be substituted after he appeared to sustain an injury in his right ankle during a 3-2 victory against Torino.
Thuram was in fine form during the match against the Turin-based club as he scored all three goals and won the match for the Nerrazurri. However, an almost perfect night was dampened due to a potential injury. Medical tests completed on Sunday revealed that there was no injury sustained by the former Guingamp forward.
As a result of the positive medical tests, Thuram is set to travel to Clairefontaine on Monday to join up with his Les Bleus teammates ahead of the international break. France are in UEFA Nations League action during the break as they prepare to face both Belgium and Israel.
