Warren Zaïre-Emery and Vitinha could miss PSG-Brest

According to a report by Le Parisien, Warren Zaïre-Emery (18) and Vitinha (24) could miss Paris Saint-Germain’s weekend fixture against Stade Brestois after they both received injuries during the international break.

Vitinha was forced to return to Paris early after he suffered an ankle injury during Portugal’s 2-1 victory over Croatia, while Zaïre-Emery withdrew ahead of France’s 2-0 win against Belgium after he sustained a calf injury during his substitute appearance three days earlier against Italy (3-1 defeat).

Le Parisien reports that the severity of the injuries does not seem too worrying for PSG, but neither player has been able to train this week with the club and both appear set to miss the Saturday night match against Brest. However, Zaïre-Emery could return for the Champions League opener against Girona FC on Wednesday evening.

The teenager is also set to take his baccalaureate this week after he had to reschedule his school exams in June due to his involvement in the Euros.
