Galatasaray winger Wilfried Zaha (31) has completed a deadline-day season-long loan move to Ligue 1 side Lyon, both clubs have announced. Zaha left Crystal Palace upon the expiry of his contract last year to join Galatasaray over a three-year contract. He logged ten goals in 43 appearances for the Istanbul-based side, with which he won the Süper Lig. Lyon were in the market for a winger with Ernest Nuamah (20) set to complete a €19m move to Premier League side Fulham.
The 31-time Ivory Coast international will wear the #12 jersey for Pierre Sage’s Les Gones. After losing their first two Ligue 1 games, Lyon sealed a remarkable 4-3 comeback win against Strasbourg this Friday to kickstart their season. Lyon’s outlay to sign Zaha on loan rises to €3m. No option to make his move permanent has been included.
