According to a report by Le Parisien, Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Stade de Reims for Premier League target Amir Richardson (22).
Richardson has been attracting the interest of multiple clubs across England with Tottenham Hotspurs’ early interest soon rivalled by Everton FC and Leicester City. However, Ajax and Fiorentina had also been linked with a move for the Moroccan international.
Le Parisien reports that Ajax had been strongly motivated the past few days with new manager Francesco Farioli thought to be an admirer of the Reims midfielder. Ajax have reportedly been outbid by Fiorentina who have offered Reims €10 million with a 10% sell-on fee attached to any future transfer away from the Italian club.
Amir Richardson one step away from Olympic glory
Richardson is currently competing with his national team at the Paris Olympics, with Morocco scheduled to play Egypt later today for the chance to secure the bronze medal.
