Toulouse FC have confirmed that Logan Costa (23) has left the club for Villarreal CF where he has signed a contract that will keep him in Spain until 2030.
The Cape Verde international developed in the Stade de Reims academy where he made appearances for their reserve team. However, his professional debut would have to wait until he was sent on loan to Le Mans FC for the 2020/21 campaign.
His potential for Le Muc was immediately spotted by Toulouse who swooped in to sign the centre-back from Reims. The 2021/22 season saw Toulouse use their new defender sparingly as they won promotion back to Ligue 1.
It was in the next season that Costa would soon make his mark for Le Téfécé in their historic season. The young centre-back would become one of the club heroes as he starred in the Coupe de France final, scoring twice as Toulouse swept Nantes FC 5-1 to earn their first major trophy.
