Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix (24) is set to undergo a medical with Crystal Palace, according to a report from RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. The Eagles reportedly reached an agreement worth €20m with the Bundesliga for the signing of the former France U20 international. Lacroix is entering his final contract year with Wolfsburg and has reportedly informed the Bundesliga side he would entertain a new challenge.
Lacroix would therefore reunite at Selhurst Park with former Wolfsburg manager Oliver Glasner. The Austrian head coach was at the helm at the Volkswagen Arena when Lacroix was signed from FC Sochaux four years ago in a €5m move. Lacroix has been allowed by the Bundesliga club to travel to South London to undergo his medical with the Eagles.
