Dutch international centre-forward Thijs Dallinga (23) has left Toulouse to join Serie A side Bologna FC, both clubs have confirmed. The 23-year-old striker spent only two seasons with the Garonne side but it was enough to make a name for himself as one of the most lethal centre-forwards in the French top tier. Dallinga logged 37 goals in 86 games for Les Violets. The Dutch striker scored a brace in the 2023 Coupe de France final Toulouse won 5-1 against Nantes. He also scored twice against Liverpool last season when the French club took part in the Europa League for the first time in their history.
Dallinga is set to return a large profit for Toulouse after he was signed for an initial fee of €2.5m from Excelsior in 2022. With Bologna, the 23-year-old will experience Champions League football. The Serie A club’s reported outlay for the centre-forward’s signing rises to €15m. At Bologna, Dallinga is set to replace fellow Dutch international Joshua Zirkzee, who joined Manchester United earlier in the transfer window. Dallinga reportedly signed a four-year deal with Bologna.
