Unwillingly, Olympique Lyonnais may need to find a replacement for club captain Alexandre Lacazette (33) this summer. The Frenchman, called up by Thierry Henry for the upcoming Olympics, is the subject of intense interest from Saudi Arabia. The former Arsenal reportedly possess an almost irrefutable offer from the Gulf State and naturally, Lyon are having to construct a contingency plan.
OL are surveying the market for potential replacements. FC Metz’s Georges Mikautadze (23) is a reported target. The Georgian international will likely be available for around €20m following Les Grenats’ relegation to Ligue 2. According to Le Quotidien du Sport, Toulouse FC’s Thijs Dallinga (23) is another option being considered by Les Gones.
The Netherlands international has had another accomplished season with Le TéFéCé, netting 14 goals in 32 Ligue 1 games. The subject of a rejected €18m bid from Brentford in January, Dallinga could leave the club this summer amid interest from Lyon. Toulouse are looking to secure around €20m for Dallinga.
