AS Monaco will be without Aleksandr Golovin for their trip to AC Ajaccio on Sunday, with Takumi Minamino set to replace the Russian playmaker.
Golovin is enjoying his best season with Les Monégasqeus, but despite training with the team on Friday, he has since suffered a minor injury and will miss the trip to Corsica. According to the club, Golovin has discomfort in his right adductor, which should present an opportunity for Minamino to gain some vital minutes.
Minamino has struggled since arriving from Liverpool in the summer and has recently seen his gametime limited. As a result, he missed out on Japan’s latest squad.
Kevin Volland is the other major absentee, and he will be absent for a few more weeks. Get French Football News attended training on Friday and can report that the German forward underwent an individual session at the club’s performance centre on Friday. Ismaïl Jakobs is also absent with discomfort in his hip.
