According to L’Équipe, MLS striker, Moussa Djitté is leaving Austin and is now headed to AC Ajaccio. It is also being reported that the player is already in Corsica to complete the loan move. The 23-year-old is no stranger to France. Before departing to the MLS he played with Ligue 2 side Grenoble.
While in the United States, the Senegalese forward scored 6 goals in 30 matches. Even scoring the first hat trick in Austin FC history. The 3 goal performance also earned his team their first-ever birth to the MLS playoffs. The Corsican club could use the reinforcement. Currently, Ajaccio are tied for last for league goals scored (16).
Djitté is also a Senegal youth international who has represented his country six times. There are no other details on medical or purchase options after the season. The striker most likely will not make Ajaccio’s match tomorrow against Angers but may be available for Nantes this Sunday.
