Nuno Mendes completes training after 10-month absence

Paris Saint-Germain has provided a medical update on its squad before the Champions League tie against Real Sociedad on Wednesday.

Nuno Mendes (21) has made significant progress in his recovery programme by completing the entire training session with the first-team squad today. This is the first time since last April that the fullback has been able to complete training, and looks to be a vital step in his eventual recovery after suffering from a severe hamstring injury that has kept him out of the side for ten months.

It had been predicted that the Portuguese international would complete his full return to fitness sometime this month, and the time when Mendes will finally be able to be included in matchday squads looks within touching distance.

However, there has been no further news on Milan Škriniar (28) and Presnel Kimpembe (28) as they continue their rehabilitation exercises, and no timeline for their eventual return has been publicly provided.
