According to Le Parisien, Christophe Galtier has been sacked as manager of Paris Saint-Germain. Julian Nagelsmann is strongly linked with the managerial role at Les Parisiens.
Luís Campos has informed Galtier that he is no longer PSG’s manager, according to Le Parisien. The Portuguese Sporting Advisor brought Galtier to the Parc des Princes from OGC Nice at the beginning of the season, having worked with the Frenchman during their time at Lille OSC.
However, despite winning the Ligue 1 title, the club made an early exit from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich, whilst they also lost to Olympique de Marseille in an early round of the Coupe de France. The sacking doesn’t come as a surprise, not least to Galtier himself, who according to L’Équipe, expected to be relieved of his duties.
Galtier was booed during Saturday’s title celebrations at the Parc des Princes, whilst his name didn’t feature on the UNFP list of best Ligue 1 coach of the season. As reported by Foot Mercato and L’Équipe, Nagelsmann is the favourite to take the hot seat at PSG.
