Whilst Mattéo Guendouzi’s (25) loan from Olympique de Marseille to Lazio has only just been made permanent, the French midfielder is already wanting out of the Serie A club, according to Ignazio Genuardi.
Guendouzi began his career in the Italian Capital strongly under then-manager Maurizio Sarri, even earning a recall to the France national team this season, however, there has been a downturn since the arrival of Igor Tudor as manager. Guendouzi worked with the Croatian at Marseille the previous season, losing his place in the side as the season drew to a close.
The pair have not necessarily seen eye-to-eye since being reunited at Lazio, which could explain Guendouzi’s desire to leave the club this summer. Genuardi understands that, as well as a handful of Premier League clubs, Juventus would also be interested in signing the Frenchman this summer. Lazio’s stance on a player in whom they have only just invested a considerable sum is unclear.
