Contrary to speculation in Middle Eastern outlets and elsewhere, Egyptian international and Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah will not be arriving in Jeddah today to complete a move to Al-Ittihad, according to Foot Mercato.
Salah will be involved and playing on Sunday in the Premier League against Aston Villa.
The outlet does not rule out the possibility that Al-Ittihad will continue to make attempts to sign the Liverpool winger beyond today’s European transfer deadline day.
This is because the Saudi Arabian transfer window closes on 20th September, meaning plenty of opportunity for the 1st division side to attempt to entice Liverpool and Salah over the course of the next three weeks.
Al-Ittihad have not been put off by Liverpool’s current total refusal to negotiate a possible departure of their star man and intend to continue to make efforts to sign the player.
Al-Ittihad boast French duo Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté in their ranks.
