Georges Mikautadze (23) is expected in Monaco later on Saturday as he looks to complete his transfer from FC Metz to AS Monaco, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The Principality club look to have beaten considerable competition, notably from Ligue 1 clubs such as RC Lens but also Premier League side West Ham United, to the signing of the Metz forward, who netted on three occasions for Georgia at Euro 2024.
Les Monégasques will pay around €20m to acquire Mikautadze’s services. The final aspects of the deal are now being finalised before the completion of the transfer. The striker is expected in Monaco on Saturday after an agreement was struck between the two clubs.
There is not yet a full agreement with the player, however, there are only minor details to be finalised. Mikautadze is then expected to undergo his medical early next week before completing the move.
