According to a report by RMC Sport, Chelsea have asked France to run tests on Wesley Fofana (23) at Clairefontaine after he picked up an injury on his right shin three weeks ago. However, unless anything unexpected is picked up in the examination, it’s expected that the centre-back will remain with his national team during the international break.
Fofana played the full 90 minutes of Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest over the weekend, but there are some concerns for the defender considering that he was ruled out for the entire of last season with a cruciate ligament tear.
